Rich Lafferty rode in the back, passing C riders all day, which held him to 4th overall dropping a minute in the first half, and just missing the flip at all three points sections in the second half. GMER guys did good. Ted Diss brought home 4th in A Super Sr 55+ and Big Bad Ben Frecon grabbed 4th in B-Open. In B-SSR 50+ class, Grant Ferreira clinched 1st place by over three minutes with an outstanding performance. Richard Zink got 4th, just over Don Belt for 5th! Well done!
The class we were watching is B-SSR 55+ where Jeff Fisher got 3rd, just over ROBERT LITWIN for 4th who was riding on Row 1, with Chip Newcomer rallying for 6th after breaking a chain, turning his bike upside down in a mudhole, cleaning his carb out, helping an stranded rider with gas in the second half, and rescuing an injured dog on the trail. Darrell Diamond again took 1st place, but the question is, will it be enough points to carry the ECEA season in his class?
Skeet Newlen got 4th in Masters 60+, with the Venerable Don Kirkpatrick snagging 3rd in Golden 70+
It's why we ride.
Nice job GMER, Thank you Ocean County
